It all started on a plane ride when Hollywood star Jane Birkin shared her struggles with finding the perfect travel bag that fits her needs as a young mother to the Hermes CEO Jean-Louis Dumas who was sitting beside her on the plane.
He listened to her specifications and quickly scribbled on a sick bag. This chance encounter led to the creation of one of the world's most sought-after luxury accessory and he named it after Jane Birkin during production!
